One of my aunts is a veteran graphic designer and I like to call her “Designality” (since she has a brilliantly aesthetic design sense along with a unique personality). Designality was all set to visit me over the last holiday season but she succumbed to the responsibilities of her job, and I had to contend with delving in the festivities of the holiday season alone. However, she did make a promise to visit over the New Year. So, last month, when the harsh ring of the doorbell unceremoniously jostled me from the depths of sweet slumbers, I groggily got up, went to the door and instantly my face transformed into a radiant beam: “Designality” had decided to grace me with her presence after all.

Luckily, that week I was buried up to my neck with one of my clients, who had assigned my website design agency a task to create a beautiful online presence for them. As we were busy making design options for him, we were honored to have the presence of “Designality”, who enlightened us with her expedient predictions about the trends that are going to surface over the course of 2018, especially for the website design industry.

The trends covered myriad facets of professional graphic design, however, in the info graph below, I am only going to discuss the font trends that are projected to make a splash as the year unfolds. Mentioning each trend is going to make my job daunting and the info graph lengthy for the reader, so for everyone’s sake, here I go, without any further ado:
